New in: The Best of Me

It feels like I have been waiting forever for this book to arrive! The Best of Me is a love story by one of my all time favorite authors (Nicholas Sparks).. and it's in English of course.

The text on the back says:

"They were teenage sweethearts from opposite sides of the tracks - with a passion that would change their lives for ever. But life would force them apart.

Years later, the lines between past and present are about to slip... Called back to their hometown for the funeral of the menter who gave them shelter when they needed it most, they are faced with each other once again. Can true love ever rewrite the past?"

I'm really looking forward to reading this book!

.. AND I MET HIS FAMILY! ♥

I had a day off school yesterday.. so me and my boyfriend decided to go to the cinema and watch A Good Day To Die Hard, which I already told you guys about.

The movie was really great - the explosions were awesome!

But the best part was the cuddling of course. It was so nice to sit in the "loveseat" with my head resting on his stomach and his arm around me. I caressed his stomach and he did the same to my arm. We kissed too.

After the movie we walked to the train station. I have never seen so weird trains before. They were yellow! Really yellow.. or at least some of them were. The train we took were grey and really strange. It was way more luxurious than the "normal" S-trains I'm used too.

When we got out of the train his stepfather picked us up. It was really sweet of him, because it's was a cold evening. Not warm at all.

His family is so sweet and they make it very easy to be yourself near them. I like that a lot! And the food was so good! And his dog.. aww.. so sweet! Even the cat was sweet and soft!

After the dinner we went to his room to have some privacy.

He's just as messy as I am. The only difference is that I clean my room before having company. But I really didn't mind at all. All that matters to me is him. I couldn't care less about how his room looks.

We just talked, kissed and cuddled some more. The time flew! And suddenly it was 9:20 pm.. we went downstairs again and drank some hot chocolate while watching some tv.

Around 10:40 pm his stepfather drove me home. I didn't expect that at all. But I was pleasantly surprised!

Alexander walked me all the way to the door and kissed me goodnight.

He really is amazing.

Spring jackets! d:

I really need af jacket for spring. I only have this huge and thick and really warm winter jacket.

No that's not true.. I also have a thinner one, it's quite long and way too thin for spring.

And I'm going to Ireland (Dublin) with my class in a few weeks, so I have to have a practical and not too warm jacket, because we're going to walk a lot. We're even going to climb some kind of mountain.. not too exited about that though..

I have been looking at these three jackets. I think I like the one in the middle the most.. but the other ones are really cute too. I guess I have to try them on before I can decide.

Why did my day suck?

Of course I had to include a picture of the two things I spend the most time doing today. My phone should be on the picture too, but well.. that's just impossible without looking like a retard with webcam.

I have to admit it. This day sucked. I hated every bit of it. I wish I could have slept through it, but school is too important to stay at home when you aren't sick.

The last two weeks have been so amazing, so it was really disappointing to go to school today and be faced with all that crap. I don't want to go into details because I'm not the kind of person who hang people out on the internet. Not even on a little, unknown blog like mine.

I just won't do it. They might be mean and have big, nasty mouths.. but I'm not like that.

When I got home from school I cried a bit and started reading to think about something else.. in between the pages I was a bit (actually it was quite a lot, but shh) on 9gag.

And then I realize. I'm too easy to hurt. But how am I supposed to change that? I wear my heart and feelings on my skin. Any little thing hurts me deeply. I prefer not to show it. Showing weakness is the biggest weakness of all. Or at least that's how my mind is working.. guess it's all about upbringing.

I didn't have the easiest childhood and that's the mindset i developed.

I wish people would just ask me instead of talking behind by back. But I guess some things just never changes.

I'll open my book and forget about the bad stuff for a little while now..

What am I reading right now? + some more

I'm so happy. I'm "reconnecting" with all my old hobbies.

There's no doubt that reading is my favorite thing to do when I'm alone. And I enjoy my alonetime quite a lot.. which means I always make sure to have a lot of it! I happily say no to parties to stay at home and relax in the bed.. mmm..

I'm just not working properly without it. It drives me crazy when I'm not able to be alone for a longer period of time.. then I'll become selfish, grumpy and eager to piss other people off.. and we don't want that!

Well.. that wasn't my intended topic for this post.. now you know me a little bit better. That's good I guess :)

Actually I just wanted to show you one of my newest books. It's by one of my favorite authors, Nicholas Sparks. This is the second book written by him I own.. and I'm simply fascinated by his skills with words. You're getting sucked into his universe and you find yourself crying, laughing and falling in love with the characters. Amazing.

The title is Nights in Rodanthe and it's about "A love affair pushed to the brink..."

Love, love, love.. it's one of my favorite things to read about. Only fantasy is just as great! And if you mix those! Just wow..

I'll tell you some more when I'm finished reading it!

Thursday ♥

I have been sick since saturday afternoon, but yesterday I actually felt a lot better. Maybe just because my body knew that he was coming to see me. I don't know, but I felt fine.

My stomach was filled with butterflies from the moment I woke up. I couldn't wait to see him again, and yet I was so nervous. I knew there was no reason to be nervous, but I have never been able to control my emotions very well. I feel whatever my heart decides I should feel.

At 14:16 he stepped out of the bus and I felt like the butterflies just mated and got a thousand baby butterflies in my stomach. I was so happy. I bet my smile was as big as it could get.

We got home and took out shoes and jackets off. He grabbed me and kissed me, as we walked up the stairs to my room. Haaah, he's so great! No. He's wonderful.

Kissing. Hugging. Laughing.

Actually.. that's pretty much all we did in the hours we were together.

After he went home I went for a long walk in the dark with music in my ears.. and it just clicked. I love this guy. I really do. He breaks into my thoughts all the time.

I can't believe how lucky I am.

Found an amazing dress! (:

I was just surfing around on the internet.. looking for some pretty dresses for summer and then.. I found this beauty. It's purple and for curvy girls.

It's not a summer dress at all, but I need it. I crave it. I just have to have it. And I'll buy it.. but I have to cross my fingers, because I can't really stretch this months budget more than I already has.. so..

Next month it'll be mine! d:

Challenge: Newest polish

It's time to start working my way through the nail polish challenge which I blogged about yesterday right here. I'm not going to this chronological, because.. well that's just not as fun!

Today I'm presenting a layering manicure with two of my newest polishes. I got these the same day, so I'm not cheating! :)

I'm wearing two coats of OPI Vant To Bite My Neck over one coat of OPI Natural Nail Base Coat.

On top for a bit more mysterious look I used one coat of Nubar Treasure. It's a really pretty translucent holographic polish.

And the last picture is with flash - to show the awesome holo effect!

Now I'll cross out one of the challenges, only 9 more to go!

Tuesday 26th: A Good Day To Die Hard

I don't know why, but I'm free from school next Tuesday.

So my boyfriend and I are going out. I'm really looking forward to it, because we're going to watch A Good Day To Die Hard in this awesome cinema in Hillerød. They have "loveseats" so we're able to cuddle and stuff while enjoying the movie.

I didn't like that he should pay for my ticket, when it's only our second date.. so we split it up. He's taking care of the tickets, while I'm paying for all the candy and soda we can eat/drink d:

We're eating dinner with his family after the movie. I'm a bit nervous, but I'll be fine. I guess it's normal to be nervous when you're going to meet your boyfriends parents for the first time.

Nail polish challenge :)

I have a hard time trying all my polishes on.. The sad truth is that I have way too many.

But then I came across this great nail polish challenge from MalenePetersen. It's not one of those annoying challenges where you have to paint your nails everyday.. those are clearly not designed for those of us who has a job that doesn't allow nail polish.

Anyway.. this one consists of 10 easy "challenges":

Yesterday was amazing ♥

Okay.. this really lovely guy asked me out for hot chocolate and I said yes. We were both really nervous and decided to meet in Roskilde yesterday at 1 pm.

We met in the bus. At first it were really awkward and we didn't know what to say or do. We just looked at each other and smiled stupidly. We talked a bit.. I don't remember about what.. or I do.. there was this little girl in the bus, she decided she wanted to sit next to us. I told him that kids really aren't my favorite thing.. He likes kids.

Oh and he told me I have beautiful eyes! And so does he. I have never seen green eyes like that before..  wow.. framed with the longest, blackest lashes I have ever seen on a guy. 

One or two stops before it was time for us to get off the bus he kissed me. Haaaah, it was amazing! <3

So we kissed a bit more and got off the bus.

We got off the bus at Ro's Torv. But there were nothing there we could do, so he took my hand and we walked to the Vivaldi Café on "Gågaden".

He bought us hot chocolate with vanilla ice cream and whipped cream with chocolate sprinkles on top. He's so sweet!

We were just sitting there, drinking our chocolate and holding hands. He told me the sweetest things and he even fed me with my spoon. I'm sitting here blushing just thinking about it.

So we finished the chocolate and walked back to Ro's Torv to see if there were any good movies in the cinema. There was, but they were only shown around 9 pm.

Instead of the movie we found a free sofa and kissed and hugged. It was great!

After a little while we decided to go for a little walk in the center. It was quick and soon after we were in the sofa again. Continuing from were we left off. Unfortunately the kids were a little bit too curious about what we were doing, so we found another spot that were a little more private.

Or maybe not so private.. it were right where everyone was let out of the cinema. Great. But we didn't bother much. We just stood there and kissed and hugged. Sometimes we sat on the floor. Other times we stood against the wall.

We didn't do anything inappropiate, but this strange woman shouted: "Get a room". It was really embarrasing! I could have dug a whole in the ground and jumped in it..

Luckily I didn't and we had a few more great hours to our self before we had to walk to Roskilde Station where his parents picked him up. Every few steps we stopped up to kiss. He was holding his arm around my waist <3 aww..

He kissed me goodbye when his parents came and I stood there alone. Smiling like a fool.

When my bus came I walked in, found a seat.. and were still smiling like a fool.

I am so happy.

OPI You Only Live Twice swatches!

I haven't had red nails for quite a while.. so I picked trough my stash and found this beauty.

It's OPI You Only Live Twice from the James Bond (Skyfall) Collection. I like this color a lot, but I tend do get bored after a day or two with red nails..

And that's what makes this polish perfect for me. It's NOT long lasting at all. I painted my nails with 3 coats of You Only Live Twice friday night and it had already chipped by saturday afternoon.

Of course I could use a top coat, but I really don't care. I'm going to remove it anyway :)

You can see the chipping in the pictures. They're from today, so yea.. it's not optimal, but I had other stuff on my mind yesterday! :P

Just quick picture with outdoor lighting. I apologize for the ugly cuticles.. winter is harsh.

The last three pictures is indoors and show the color the most accurate. It's a deep red with magenta and gold shimmer. So pretty.. but no unique at all!

OPI Can't Let Go swatches d:

It's time to show you lovely ladies (and guys?) some swatches of one of my newest favorites.

It's OPI Can't Let Go from the Mariah Carey collection. This is an interesting polish because of the new Liquid Sand effect. But I must say that it's kind of disappointing. It's nothing but a glitter that dries matte.

It's pretty and all, but you can get the same effect with all your other glitter polishes with a matte topcoat.

Now that is said, it's not chipping at all! It's just like a glitter, so you can scratch and be rough with your nails without worrying! :)

This is how it looks outdoors on a grey day. It is a bit more purple in every other lighting.

The swatches show the color exactly as it is. It's a pretty blue toned purple. I love purple. I love the polish.. :)

New glasses for miss four-eyes :)

After 5 years of waiting.. I got new glasses! And no the "5" isn't a typo.

I picked them up from the store this Tuesday, just haven't had time to show you guys. Actually I think I should wait, because I forgot to take a picture of the other pair..

But it's okay, these are my favorite. No doubt. They frame my face so beautifully.

My mom even said this to me: "You have been looking beautiful the last couple of days - or maybe it's just the glasses!" d:

She's always mocking me, so it's big! I feel great with these, so it's really a plus that I see soo much better. I'm still shocked how beautiful the world really is! Hah, I just have a really bad eyesight.

A bit about love (:

Well.. I guess it's time to write a bit more serious and personal post.

I have been really down for a long time, as you might know. I felt stuck. I felt depressed. It was like I couldn't breathe anymore. But it isn't like that anymore.

My boyfriend.. or my ex boyfriend broke up with me monday last week.. the 4th. I was broken. I thought something was wrong with me. I literally sat on my knees and begged while texting me he had to take me back no matter what. I feel so embarrased now.

I thought it would take me more than a year to get over him.. but all it took was 3 days. It's like I have never loved him. He's just Steffan now. I'm quite indifferent towards him. He can do whatever he want to do, I might get happy for him.. but never jealous or mad.

I'm considering whether to stay his friend or not. I would very much love to have him in my life. It's always a blessing to have someone in your life who knows everything about you - good AND bad.

He's the one person who knows every single one of my demons.

But enough about that.

I'm happy now and it's time to find out who I am again. I want to reunite with Katrine.

I'm free, I can breathe again. I can be myself. Oh man! I feel amazing! I sing and dance all the time. I can't control my heart.

My package arrived! d:

Good morning everybody!

I finally received my package. I took 8 days including the weekend and the day I placed my order.. so it's actually quite fast. I'm satisfied :)

There were four nail polished in the package and of course they are all purple. Two glitters in a lcear base, a creme and a holo :)

OPI Vant To Bite My Neck?: A rich, dark eggplant purple creme. I love this shade!

OPI Polka.com: A mix of hot pink, sky blue and purple hexagon glitters + a bit og hot pink micro glitters in a clear base. This is so exciting!

Orly Can't Be Tamed: Big purple hexagons glitters and silver micro glitter in a clear base. I will use this a lot, I'm sure!

Nubar Treasure: This light, warm purple holographic baby really is a Treasure. I can't wait to wear it in the sun.. I'm sure it'll hypnose my eyes!

The holographic effect in Nubar Treasure doesn't really show up in all the other pictures.. so here, enjoy! :)

The new OPI collection Euro Centrale finally got in stock on Beautybay.com. So of course I had to buy some nail polish.. again.

If you hadn't already guessed, then yes.. my favorite color is purple ;)

Recycling d:

I'm aware of the big problems we have here on the earth with the environment, but that's not really what I want to talk about today. You should recycle you're garbage!

Now to another kind of recycling!

It has been a really long time ago since I could wear my second-day-hair without being embarrased. I tried my new Got2Be Rockin' it Dry Shampoo today, and it is AMAZING! It actually did what it's supposed to do. It removed every sign of grease in my hair.

I'm so happy - yup, i'm happy!

It's such a relief. Now I don't have to worry about going to bed too late so I'm extremely tired the next day because I have to take a shower before I can go to sleep.

You should really try it out. Matas has sale on this product really often!

Pumps and nail polish! ♥

Hello my lovely subscribers! <3

My friend Sarah and I were out on a small shopping trip earlier today. We had to buy a birthday present for our other friend, Nicole. She just turned 18, så of course she deserves a proper present!

But I'm so bad with money. Whenever I have them, I have to use them - right away. So I bought two pair of shoes and a really pretty nudeish nail polish.

The lavender pumps is from Føtex, they only cost me 180 kr!

These are my favorites! They are just amazing. The prettiest shoes I have ever seen. The colors isn't right on the pictures, but the lightening sucks. They cost me 280 kr. in Skoringen. They were on sale! :)

This polish only cost me 25 kr. That's insane, because OPI normally cost 125 kr. here in Demark, and I would never pay 125 kr. for en nude nail polish, not even an OPI.

TRULY HAPPY.

IT IS SUCH AN AMAZING DAY!

I woke up at 9 am and rolled around in the bed to the beat of some of my favorite songs. Then I took a nice hot shower, and after that I put on some clothes. I danced around and listened to some more music. I almost ran with my dog when I had to go for a walk with her. I just shouldn't stop smiling.

And there are only 7-8 days until I will see my boyfriend again. I can't wait, I can't stop thinking about the week we have together. I promised him that I would put on a dress for Valentines day, but I might have to purchase some new heels to go with it, because the only ones I have is a little bit too big.

Guess I just can't resist a good deal.

My good friend Sarah will pick me up in about an hour. We're going shopping! I hope those heels will become a reality.
